I've been to Vanilla on a number of occassions, the food, service and wine is always out of this world !! Try the Sancerre Rose....superb. The menu changes so you are never bored...in fact I've just been for about the 6th time and that was the best yet !! |
Visited October2007 when we had an outstanding meal with excellent service. Our recent visit suggests that while still good, standards are beginning to slip, particularly in respect of front of house service. The meal was generally very good, altho' the lamb could definitely have been more tender. However, service was sloppy, with a less than warm welcome when we arrived, to not clearing aperitif glasses from the table until asked; putting the opened bottle of wine on the table without offering it for tasting or offering to pour;needing to go and get soup spoons after the soup had been brought to the table. This restaurant has been a liittle gem. Please don't let you standards slip. |
